Located in the peaceful
village of Barrou in the department of Indre et Loire, France. The
village’s location halfway between the regional capitals of Tours
and Poitiers makes it an ideal base to explore the chateaux of the
Loire Valley and the department of Vienne. There is a
boulodrome in the centre of the village for ‘Petanque (boules). The
house, with its history, (originally it was a mill for producing
walnut oil) beamed ceilings and tiled floors retains its charm.
Accommodation consists of a large lounge, kitchen/diner two double
bedrooms, the master with en-suite. There is a second toilet and
shower room off the lounge. There is a large enclosed sunny
courtyard for alfresco dining and sun bathing.
